For Schools
We serve students and families in public school, private school, home school groups, after-school programs, youth groups, and through our parent program.

Last year, 23 middle schools and high schools chose our programs. The Prevention and Outreach team of educators made 4,110 student contacts teaching these topics:
- Saving sexual activity until marriage (abstinence)
- Establishing healthy relationships
- Developing character to accomplish goals
- Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI) education
- Recognizing signs of dating violence and grooming
- How to end unhealthy relationships
- Effects of addiction to drugs, alcohol and pornography
- Sexual assault and the consent laws in Ohio
- Human Trafficking signs and statistics
Our Prevention and Outreach Programs are offered at NO COST.
Heartbeats educators are background-checked and knowledgeable regarding state laws for mandatory reporters. Educator bios are available upon request. Our curriculum does not make statements regarding politics, religion, or morality. It is focused on optimal health for the whole person and based upon data-driven, universally applicable principles designed to help all students avoid sexual risk, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity. It is designed to address the teaching requirements prescribed in ORC 3313.60 and ORC 3313.6011 and respect the requirements of ORC 3313.473 for parental notification and involvement.
